Thanks for visiting

I’m Sue Gold, business consultant, mentor and facilitator. I work with clients across Australia from my base in beautiful Beechworth, a historic gold mining town in northeast Victoria.

My experience spans the business, community and social enterprise sectors. I provide guidance and training on everything from business basics through to specific areas of expertise, including governance, strategy, planning, staff development, financial analysis, grant writing and profit generation.

I have worked with some great clients. You can find out what they have to say here.

I believe in connection and collaboration

Supporting people to achieve their potential is what drives me. My approach is collaborative and participatory – I provide opportunities for you to develop your own skills, knowledge and confidence so that you can make informed decisions about the effective leadership, management and growth of your business.

If you’re interested and would like to maximise your consulting spend, I can teach you as we deliver your project together. I find it satisfying to teach someone to do something, rather than do it for them. Think about it – if you’re going to pay me to implement your project or to write your grant application, why not work side-by-side with me and learn how to do it yourself?

For larger initiatives, I draw on an extensive network of experts and put together a custom-fit team.

I listen and promote thoughtful discussion

I have experience as a mentor, lecturer, facilitator, board member and change manager and have coached people at all levels of business. Some of my clients are self-employed while others hold senior and executive level positions.

As a curious person and natural communicator, I listen actively and promote thoughtful discussion. This helps me to quickly find the gaps in your knowledge and capabilities, uncover your strengths and bring a fresh approach to solving problems and achieving goals.

Who do I work with?

Small businesses and social enterprise from set-up to succession.
Community groups and not-for-profits needing assistance to form alliances, realign their strategic plan, develop and deliver their mission and vision and achieve economic, social and environmental outcomes.
I coach and mentor people at all levels from those who are self-employed, employees and senior and executive staff.

Qualifications

Quite a few (I do like to keep learning)

I have qualifications from Certificate IV through to Masters. These don’t matter though if you don’t put what is learnt into practise – I do. I also undertake lots of professional development to be sure my knowledge, skills and insights are current.

Rural, regional and metropolitan services

Having worked in rural, regional and metropolitan areas, I am well versed in the unique challenges
facing differing geographic regions, especially those in isolated communities.
